Occupy Finals

Shannon Vigil, Citrus College Clarion

As finals for fall approach, students may feel intimidated by their upcoming exams, but they should be aware of the helpful tools available and take full advantage of them.

The library is a great place for students to come in and study; the only disadvantage is that the facilities are only open during the school week.

Luckily, the Hayden Memorial Library will be open Sat., Dec.10, for finals study sessions from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Associate Students of Citrus College will be hosting "Nite Owls" during Dec. 5-8 and again Dec. 12-13, keeping the Campus Center open until 11 p.m. for students to study for upcoming exams. "Nite Owls" is a late-night study session where students are able to utilize the Campus Center for study groups and finals preparations.

"Nite Owls" will serve as a quiet place to prepare for finals, with snacks for sale and free dinner every night for students who attend and have a valid ASCC sticker on their Citrus ID.

Before "Nite Owls'' sessions in the Campus Center, Stress Busters Week will be featured during the day in the Campus Center Mall Dec. 5-8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Complimentary massages are available for students to relieve the stress of impending exams.

The U.S. Army will also have a rock-climbing wall available for students to release any tension, as well.

All services are free with a valid ASCC sticker.

This finals week, don't let the tests intimidate you.

Occupy the campus and take advantage of the resources you have at your disposal.

The only thing left stopping you is you.
