Calling It Lit it Is: Have pride in achievements, wherever you transfer

For many students, next week will be their last at Citrus College. They have reached the seemingly elusive goal of earning their associate’s degrees, transferring to four-year institutions, or achieving their vocational certificates.

Congratulations to all who are moving on, but I also encourage you to think back with fondness on your time here at Citrus.

Citrus is such a stellar community college, especially in comparison to others in our region.

Citrus has a gorgeous campus with state-of-the-art facilities, has integrated modern technology into its programs and services, and offers excellent student services.

On top of that, the faculty at Citrus is top notch. Only once have I had a bad experience with a professor at this school. This was not the case with my experience at Mt. SAC.

Even though sometimes I feel less accomplished because I am still at community college, I feel pride in knowing that I am still getting a high-quality college education and life experience.

For all of you who are moving on, I hope that you have had as good of an experience at

Citrus as I have had so far.

Perhaps part of the reason that you have successfully been able to graduate or transfer is because of the help you received here.

Be proud to have attended Citrus. Be just as proud as you will of your next college or university.

And when you get there, don’t forget what you learned here.
